Doing ‘our bit’ for those in need…
This year we’ve once again been working hard to raise money for our chosen charity. The Nomad Trust was delighted to receive our donation of £5,059 to put toward much-needed work on its facilities.
The money will now go towards more improvements to the charity’s ‘moving on’ house. This is where service users live until they’re able to move on with their lives. Money raised from HomeLet has already paid for a new kitchen and a minibus to transport service users to interviews for example. Next on the agenda are replacement bathrooms for the moving on house.
Ian Fraser, Managing Director of HomeLet, said: “We’ve really got behind The Nomad Trust again this year and the Charity Committee already has more events planned for 2013. I’m very proud of everyone who’s donated money - it really does mean a lot to those who are in the unfortunate position to have to rely on the charity.”
Brenda Shiels, Service Manager at The Nomad Trust, said: “I would like to thank everyone at HomeLet for their kind efforts and donations throughout the year. The efforts of employees at companies, such as HomeLet, are so beneficial for The Nomad Trust – not only in terms of providing much-needed funds, but also showing service users how much effort local people are making to help improve their lives. The money will go a long way to providing supplies for homeless people in and around Lincoln.”
So, from all of the HomeLet team – have a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
