People in Lincolnshire affected by cancer are now benefiting from HomeLet’s fundraising efforts
A total of £3,500 was donated to Macmillan Cancer Support in Lincolnshire - raised from a number of fundraising activities organised by HomeLet. The cash was donated by the company’s 350 members of staff over the past year and will now be used to help people affected by cancer in the region.
Fundraising efforts that took place include talk like a pirate and wear your football shirt to work days, car boot and cake sales, bingo and sweepstakes They were enjoyed by HomeLet employees at the company’s office off Tritton Road, Lincoln, with many donating much time and effort to organise the days.
Macmillan is a national charity that works to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. The money donated by HomeLet will now help Macmillan nurses, doctors and specialists in Lincolnshire provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support to people in the region.
Gemma Shaw, Macmillan Lincolnshire Fundraising Manager, said: “As well as people who actually suffer from the illness, we also help families who are affected by cancer. The cash will go a long way to enable Macmillan Services help Lincolnshire people. On behalf of them and the rest of the Macmillan team - I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at HomeLet who donated money.”
