We're now the proud supporter of Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance after employees voted for this organisation to be our second chosen charity. So from now on, all charity events will raise money for the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and The Nomad Trust.
The Nomad Trust is the Lincoln homeless charity HomeLet’s supported for two years. Over the past 12 months we've raised over £6,500 for this local cause, and employees are looking forward to raising even more cash over the coming months.
This means we'll be baking even more buns, wearing even more fancy dress costumes to work and taking part in even more sporting events to make sure we raise as much cash as possible.
Service Manager at The Nomad Trust, Brenda Shiels, said “The support HomeLet provides through these donations is truly overwhelming. The staff, volunteers and the service users at The Nomad Trust are so very grateful.”
Ian Fraser, HomeLet’s Managing Director, said: “We decided to support a second charity as fundraising is a passion of HomeLet’s, and we thought it would inspire even more people to donate if the money was given to a charity of their choice.”
The Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance is based in Lincoln and provides a dedicated medical air service across both counties. The Helicopter can reach any destination in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire within 19 minutes, and every year embarks on approximately 1,000 missions – about three per day.
